Sponsorships Available for ACC Chalk Art Festival

The Arapahoe Community College Foundation will host a chalk art festival on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the ACC Main Campus, and sponsorships are available for organizations in the community. Sponsors can take part in a VIP reception on Friday evening, Sept, 10.

“Join us for a unique, fun, art-filled community event held by the Arapahoe Community CollegeSidewalk to the ACC Annex Foundation,” said Courtney Loehfelm, Director of the ACC Foundation. “Attendance numbers are anticipated to be in the thousands.”

During the Chalk It Up to Education Festival, chalk art will unfold on the sidewalks around ACC while musicians play, children frolic and adults enjoy. A group of judges will be assembled and prizes will be awarded in a number of categories including amateur, professional, age group, original design and use of color for the chalk drawings designed at the event. This is the inaugural chalk art festival at ACC and is the first of its kind to incorporate professional and student chalk art design in one place.

Education will be the main theme for the event. Students and faculty from K-12 and higher education will be encouraged to participate. Booths for sponsors and ACC departments and programs will be designed as interactive educational experiences, such as face painting for art students, nursing simulation man demonstrations and an Alchemy Club magic show. Sponsors will have opportunities to market and promote their programs at the event. Funds raised for the ACC Foundation during the event will be used for scholarships and other foundation funding needs.

An organization can sponsor a square around the campus green and be named a “square sponsor.” The organization’s name will be included above the chalk square. Square sponsorships range from $200 to $800 depending on the size of the square and the number of tickets to the VIP reception.

Event sponsorships at the Bronze Level cost $1,000 and include the organization’s name on posters, flyers, the Web site, newspaper advertisements, a banner on-site at the event, an eighth of a page advertisement in the Festival Brochure and two tickets to the VIP reception. Silver Level sponsorships for $2,500 include all of the above plus product sampling on-site, promotion in e-newsletters, 4 tickets to the VIP reception, a 10 x10 booth at the event and a quarter-page advertisement in the Festival Brochure.

At the Gold Level for $5,000, an organization will receive all of the Silver Level benefits plus a medium logo on posters, flyers and VIP reception tickets, two banners on-site, eight reception tickets, identification on the audio slogan, two 10 x10 booths at the event and a half-page page color advertisement in the Festival Brochure. The highest level, the Platinum Level, costs $7,500 and includes all of the above plus a large logo on posters, flyers and reception tickets, company recognition on the ACC Marquee one week before the event and a full-page color advertisement in the Festival Brochure.
