Nearly 30 employers representing a wide variety of careers will be available to meet with students and community members at Arapahoe Community College on Wednesday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A program on green jobs also will be presented by Phillip M. von Hake with PvH Communications. The ACC Career Center also sponsors monthly six-hour Career Planning Seminars.
Between 20 and 30 employers from government, financial, healthcare, retail, security, insurance, sales, military, non-profit, marketing, hospitality and other sectors will be represented at the job fair, which is sponsored by the ACC Career Center. Information and advising on ACC career, degree and certificate programs also will be available.
This free job fair will enable ACC students and the general public to meet one-on-one with recruiters and human resource staff members from a large number of employers. Attendees should “dress for success” and bring copies of their resumes.
Phillip M. von Hake with PvH Communications will present “Green Jobs in Colorado’s New Energy Economy,” from noon to 1 p.m. that day. This free, public seminar will take place in the Half Moon, Room M1800. The presentation will include: what exactly is a green-collar job; how to land a green-collar job; growth in green-collar jobs; finding the hottest jobs; and green IT jobs.
The ACC Career Fair is open to the public in the Dining Hall, Room M1900, on the first floor near the West entrance of the main campus building at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton. Parking will be free in all ACC lots and no permits will be required during this event. The Main Campus of Arapahoe Community College is located on the east side of Santa Fe at College Drive just south of historic downtown Littleton.
The Career Center also sponsors monthly six-hour Career Planning Seminars for those undecided on a career goal or wanting to make a career change. Community members are welcome. The next Career Planning Seminar will be covered in three sessions from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays,
