ACC Instructors Offer Seminars at Colorado Garden and Home Show

Five Community Education Instructors at Arapahoe Community College will present 11 educational seminars during the Colorado Garden and Home Show from Feb. 13 through 21. The annual show will take place at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th St., in Denver.

A Beautiful GardenThe Colorado Garden Show, Inc., produces the Colorado Garden & Home Show, the state's oldest and most prestigious garden and home show, which attracts more than 60,000 visitors annually. Each year, money raised from the show supports horticultural and related activities throughout Colorado. The grant program funds tree and plant material purchases, school landscape improvements, community gardens and educational and research programs with organizations throughout Colorado.

The Colorado Garden Show, Inc., also provides scholarships for college students who are studying floriculture, horticultural science and business, nursery management, turf grass management, landscape design or landscape management. These students also plan to continue working in the field in Colorado upon graduation.

The ACC Instructors involved in the show are:

• Sharon Breay, who will present "Interior Design Basics" on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. and "Interior and Exterior Lighting Basics" on Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.;

• Elizabeth Bublitz, who will present "Pet Friendly Landscaping" on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m., Feb. 19 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 20 at 4 p.m.;

• Chris Howlett, who will present "Live Happy, Healthy And Wealthy" on Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.; "Debt Free Made Easy" on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m.; and "Budgeting -- Money Made Easy" on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.;

• Gail Nelson, who will present "Turn Junk Mail into Homemade Paper" on Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.;

• Bobbi Shupe, who will present "Home Makeover: How to Faux Finish" on Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. and "Home Makeover: Creating a Floor Cloth" on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.
