Welcome to Interpersonal Communication, a subject that applies to everyone. In this course we will investigate the complexities of human communication. Communication can enhance our professional and personal relationships or it can cause problems if it is not used properly. This course is designed to help you become a more effective communicator in a variety of contexts. The subjects covered include:  perception, self-concept, emotion, verbal and nonverbal language, listening, defensiveness, and conflict. Join me for an interesting and enriching course.

I received my Master of Science in Adult Education from Northern Arizona University in 1992, and my Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University in 1987. My teaching experience includes Estrella Mountain Community College from 1993-1995, and I have been here at Arapahoe Community College since 2000.
