First the serious stuff--I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in speech communication. Then I taught kindergarten through ninth grade, took a sabbatical to attend the University of Denver, earned my master's degree in counseling psychology and returned to middle school (what was I thinking?). Took early retirement, survived breast cancer, and enjoy every minute of every day.
I love teaching! Watching students learn and grow is exciting and rewarding to me. Traditional I am not, but not too flaky either. I have been a mayor, a counselor, a wood carver and a foster mom for puppies. My hobbies are building bike and hiking trails in the Denver area, making jewelry, turning wood, gardening, hiking, building adirondack chairs, reading, and watching the grass grow.
ACC is the best community college in Colorado; we care about our students. It is an honor and privilege to teach here. See you soon!
