Erica Henningsen

Erica Henningsen has been teaching psychology full-time at Arapahoe Community
College since August 2005. She earned a BA in Psychology and Criminology
from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), and a Master of Arts
in Education degree in Educational Psychology, also from UNI. Before
finding a home in the higher education world, she worked as both
a correctional officer and a social worker in the child welfare
system in Iowa.
Ms. Henningsen teaches general psychology courses (PSY 101 and
PSY 102) and Human Growth and Development (PSY 235). Her professional
interests include: personality assessment, child sexual abuse, depression,
deviant subcultures, and academic advising.
In her personal life, she enjoys scrapbooking, listening to Stevie
Nicks, amusement and water parks, four-wheeling, camping, traveling,
belly-dancing, and chips and salsa.
