Thank you for your interest in the Paralegal Program at Arapahoe Community College. Our program has been approved by the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Paralegals since 1977. The Paralegal Program combines the best of classroom instruction with practical experience in a legal setting. All courses are taught by licensed Colorado attorneys or paralegals with extensive experience in the field.

Course options available:

  • Certificate Program (36 semester hours) - designed for persons with an Associate of Art, Associate of Science or Associate of General Studies degree, baccalaureate degree, or who have worked for five years in the area of law.
  • Associate of Applied Science degree (60 semester hours) - designed for persons without an Associate of Art, Associate of Science or Associate of General Studies degree, baccalaureate degree, or five years of legal experience.

  • Approved by the American Bar Association since 1977, ACC's Paralegal Program combines the best of classroom instruction with practical experience in a legal setting.

  • All courses are taught by licensed Colorado attorneys or paralegals with extensive experience in their field.

  • Courses are offered days, nights and weekends. You can work full time and still complete the program.

  • ACC's extensive law library is designed to meet your needs; it includes federal and Colorado state statutory and case materials. Training in computer assisted legal research is an integral part of the curriculum.

  • The program is affordable. The tuition for the paralegal certificate program currently costs a Colorado resident about $3,250; the tuition for the paralegal Associate of Applied Science Degree costs about $5,300.

  • Arapahoe Community College offers a full spectrum of financial aid, employment assistance and scholarships to assist with the cost of your college education. Visit Financial Aid.

  • You may begin the program any semester of the year on a full or part-time basis.

  • There is an active paralegal club that allows current students and graduates to network and learn about new legal trends.

  • Job assistance is available to graduates.
