Credentials: B.A. English, BA Humanities, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL; MA English, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL; Ph.D. English, University of Denver, 2000.

I serve as Composition Coordinator and Developmental Studies Advisor for the English Department.

Teaching writing is my passion. I have 17 years’ experience teaching a breadth of courses from developmental English to composition to technical writing, creative writing, and publishing.

I previously served as a disability specialist at the University of Denver, and I am trained in working with students with learning and physical disabilities.

I enjoy writing, editing, and judging writing contests. My poetry has appeared in national and international journals including Talking River Review, Bitterroot, Colorado Lawyer, and Mantis, a Journal of Poetry, Criticism, and Translation.

I live in Denver with my husband and our two boys and our cat Charley.
