Apprenticeship: On-the-Job Training: Electronics Department

Safety:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of proper safety techniques for all types of circuits and components (DC circuits, AC circuits, analog circuits, digital circuits, discrete solid-state circuits, microprocessors)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and comply with relevant OSHA safety standards

Assembly:
  • Use hand and power tools for basic assembly
  • Use acceptable soldering/desoldering techniques for through-hole and surface mount devices
  • Create proper solderless connections
  • Interpret and create electronic schematics, technical drawings, and flow diagrams

Installation:
  • Install equipment per customer requirements
  • Initialize equipment per specification
  • Calibrate equipment per specification
  • Provide operational instructions and training
