The apprenticeship is aimed at recent high school graduates who
do not plan to attend a four year college, at companies who need
to train their employees, and at older workers who are ready for
a career change.
These are some of the many benefits for the apprentice:
- Certified industrial training
- Associate of Applied Science degree
- Work experience
- Income during training
- Full-time employment
However, the apprentice also has to assume certain responsibilities,
which include the following:
- Commitment to stay with the employer for the duration of the
apprenticeship
- Completion of the work-related instruction at ACC with a passing
grade
At the end of the apprenticeship the apprentice will possess excellent
job qualifications, consisting of certified apprenticeship training,
an Associate of Applied Science degree, and four years of work experience.
