Computer Graphics Certificate

This certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in desktop publishing, production for print or digital design, signage, and for other positions in the growing field of digital media. Requiring 30 hours of coursework, this certificate can be completed in two semesters. All classes in this certificate may also be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Multimedia/Graphic Design and Illustration.

All students taking courses in the program must take a placement exam that covers Macintosh operations and design software literacy. Students whose placement examinations indicate they do not have these skills must enroll in MGD 101 as a prerequisite prior to entering the program. This course can be used to fulfill three credit hours of restricted electives. Typing and basic math skills are highly recommended.
