PSY 101 General Psychology I: GT-SS3
3 Credits
Focuses on the scientific study of behavior including motivation, emotion, physiological psychology, stress and coping, research methods, consciousness, sensation, perception, learning, and memory. This is a Statewide Guaranteed Transfer course.
PREREQUISITES: ENG 090 and REA 090 with a grade of “C” or better, or ACCUPLACER scores of Reading 80 and Sentence Skills of 95 or Department Chair approval.
PSY 102 General Psychology II: GT-SS3
3 Credits
Focuses on the scientific study of behavior including cognition, language, intelligence, psychological assessment, personality, abnormal psychology, therapy, life span development, and social psychology. This is a Statewide Guaranteed Transfer course.
PREREQUISITES: ENG 090 and REA 090 with a grade of “C” or better, or ACCUPLACER scores of Reading 80 and Sentence Skills of 95 or Department Chair approval.
PSY 116 Stress Management
3 Credits
Identifies the physiological, emotional and behavioral aspects of stress. Techniques of stress reduction and management are explored and applied, including nutrition, exercise, assertiveness, time management, and financial management. This course is not designed for transfer.

PSY 205 Psychology of Gender: GT-SS3

Examines gender comparisons in work, courtship, family life, and sexual behavior throughout the life span. This is a Statewide Guaranteed Transfer course.

PSY 247 Child Abuse and Neglect

Examines the causes and effects of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse and neglect. Intervention and prevention strategies are emphasized.
PSY 249 Abnormal Psychology GT-SS3

Examines abnormal behavior and its classification,
causes, treatment, and prevention. This is a Statewide Guaranteed Transfer course.
