- Christine is the Chair of the Foreign Languages department She has organized and lead ACC summer study programs to France and Italy for the past 15 years.
Choice of Courses - 3 credits OR non-credit option available
- Art 275 Art History
- this course will explore the history of art and architecture of the Western Mediterranean as it examines art, artifacts, architecture and artistic movements from the Antiquity to Modern times. From Madrid to Catalogna, Provence and Italy, students will have the opportunity to look into the origins, function, meaning, symbolism and context of Western cultural history

- Susan is the Chair of the Art Department and Coordinator of the Art History and Art Appreciation program at Arapahoe Community College where she teaches Art History, Art Appreciation and studio

- LAT 275 Intermediate to Advanced Latin
- this course will explore the influence of the Latin Language on Romance languages and culture in Spain, southern France and southern Italy on location
- focus of many discussions will revolve around the continuity of Western civilization via the Latin language
- in southern Italy the course will also examine the influence of Greek language and culture on Latin and Roman culture and the transmissions of Greek culture by the Romans throughout the Mediterranean
- readings in Latin will be read and discussed on site
- Instructor - Dr. Patricia Fitzgibbon
- Dr. Fitzgibon has been teaching Latin, ancient Greek, and ancient history for over 25 years at the high school and college level and has visited many ancient sites in Spain and Italy. She currently teaches Latin and History for Arapahoe Community College
- HIS 275 Roman Influence in the Mediterranean from Antiquity through Renaissance -Dr. Patricia Fitzgibbon
- this course will explore the history and lasting physical influence of the Romans in Spain, southern France and southern Italy
- on location students will examine ancient ruins, art, and inscriptions and discuss the legacy of the Romans and their influence on ancient and modern urban and rural areas
- readings in translation will be read and discussed on site
