Emergency Medical Services

Are you interested in an exciting Healthcare career?  Try Emergency Medical Services (EMS).  ACC offers EMS classes every semester both night and day.  There are many offerings of EMS classes.  All classes are approved by the State of Colorado Health Department-EMS Division.

The student can start with the Basic EMT Program (certificate), then move on to take the additional classes required to complete the EMS Enhanced Certificate.

After a year of field experience the EMT can go on to study Paramedicine (certificate or degree). View the ACC catalog for detailed program information.

Hybrid Electric Vehicle Safety Training for Emergency Medical Responders

This program prepares first responders to operate safely at incidents involving hybrid electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and electric vehicles (EV).

  • Basic Electrical Concepts and Hazards
  • Vehicle Systems and Safety Features
  • Initial Response: Identify, Immobilize and Disable and Other Emergency Operations
  • Hands-on Inspection of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
