FRE 101 – Conversational French I – 3 credits
- No prerequisite: This is a beginner class.
- Required materials: French In Action, the Capretz Method, 2nd ed., Yale University Press. Textbook & Workbook (part 1) and audio CDs. (Copies of the CDs can be purchased from the Media Center). The first 9 chapters of the textbook and workbook will be covered in this course.
- Student Competencies: Upon completion of this course, students at the novice level should be able to:

Comprehensibly reproduce the pronunciation and intonation of the language.
