Whether you are preparing for a career in accounting or just improving your understanding of the "language of business", the Accounting Program is designed to help you complete a variety of educational goals.
We integrate the use of technology in all accounting courses, and the degree includes courses in economics, finance and law.
Courses may also assist in completing educational requirements for professional certifications such as: Certified Public Accountant; Certified Managerial Accountant, Certified Bookkeeper; Certified Payroll Professional
What can I do when I receive my Accounting degree?
After completion of the A.A.S. Degree in Accounting an individual has several options. Both industry and government offer a broad spectrum of accounting opportunities.
Positions are available on a full and part-time basis. Visit the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment for opportunities within Colorado or the U.S. Department of Labor for a listing of job openings across the country.
Transfer options
Within the A.A. Degree-Business Transfer Concentration, ACC 121 and ACC 122 are included as transferable courses to several Colorado public four-year institutions such as: Colorado State University, Metropolitan State College of Denver and the University of Colorado Denver.
The A.A.S. Degree in Accounting will transfer to: Regis University, DeVry University
