Beginning Mandarin Chinese I

Learn about the standard Pin-Yin pronunciation system, basic grammar, common expressions and vocabulary for travel, business, education and personal pleasure. Chinese culture and character writing system are introduced. Course materials cover both Chinese I and II.

Holly Yang has over 20 years of teaching experience with two Master’s degrees in Chinese Language and Literature from Shanghai Teachers’ University and University of Washington.

French for Travelers

Explore key phases after you learn to use every day verbs and memorize some frequently used words. Practice simple questions, answer them, and expand on basic conversation.
