Bits and Bytes of Color: The Theory and Practice of Color Management

Learn about light and color temperature, how color vision works, how men and women’s vision differs and secrets of your own vision. Discover the theory of color management and color spaces (sRGB, Adobe RGB, Lab and CIE XYZ); digital camera quirks; white balance; understanding bits, bytes, and pixels; ppi and dpi; profiling your monitor; and much more. The practical side of color management is demonstrated using Photoshop CS+ for color set up, soft proofing, inkjet printer set up and workflow. Bonus section on image sizing and sharpening. Leave with tips and tricks you can use right away!
