Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, and educated in Chicago, IL, Harry Burdett received his BFA from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI in 2000, and his MFA from the Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, MI in 2002.
With a chemist for a father, Harry grew up fascinated by transformations in nature. Harry’s work teeters on the fulcrum between old world technique and modern materials and processes.
