Policies and Procedures related to the rights and responsibilities of ACC students, prospective students, employees and prospective employees are available at Colorado Community College System policies-procedures.  The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education establishes policy (known as Board Policies or BPs) for the 13 Community Colleges of Colorado.  System President’s Procedures have been developed to carry out the direction of the State Board.  Additional board and system policies and procedures cover Fiscal, Educational Programs, Buildings and Grounds and Safety and Security.       

Civil Rights, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination

Board Policy BP 3-120 and BP-4-120 provide that employees and students shall not be subjected to unlawful discrimination and/or harassment on the basis of sex/gender, race, color, age, creed, national or ethnic origin, physical or mental disability, veteran status, pregnancy status, religion or sexual orientation in employment conditions or educational programs or activities. Code of Conduct and Arapahoe Procedures related to students

Policies and Procedures in series 4 of Colorado Community College System policies-procedures protect students’ rights to pursue their educational goals.  The Student Code of Conduct in AP 4-30a establishes behavioral expectations to protect the learning environment for all students.
