A Message from the ACC Foundation Board Chair, R. C. Myles

"Change", as defined by Wikipedia is "The process of becoming different". Without a doubt, ACC in the coming year will experience change. We as a team of students, staff, faculty and volunteers will be defined by how we respond to it.

New Leadership - ACC President Dr. Bert Glandon has accepted a position at The College of Western Idaho. It is anticipated that he will begin his tenure at CWI by August 1. We wish Bert well in this new position and thank him for his great leadership of ACC over the last several years. He will be missed, but he is leaving the College in a far better place than when he arrived. The Colorado Community College System will conduct a national search for Bert's replacement. In the meantime, Dr. Linda Bowman will serve as the Interim President of Arapahoe Community College while we conduct the national search. Linda currently serves as President of the Community College of Aurora and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs for the System. She will continue in her role at CCA, but she will temporarily step out of her System duties in order to provide leadership to ACC during the interim. Linda began working with Bert Monday, July 6, to transition the leadership position. The rest of the Team at the College will be operating business as usual and they are confident that ACC is on very solid ground.

With a challenging economy upon us, unemployment on the rise and uncertainty in the world, the role of ACC in our community is more important than ever. Affordable, accessible and quality education is vital to our community and essential to countless individuals.

It is the mission of the ACC Foundation to raise friends and funds for ACC and to partner with friends and donors to support and strengthen the College's role in serving the educational needs of the community. In the coming year we will endeavor to fulfill this mission.

I look forward to partnering with you and responding to the changes facing Arapahoe Community College in the coming year!
