- Program/Discipline Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Automotive Technology Program to provide a
learning centered environment that provides the student the opportunity
to gain the necessary skills and competencies to obtain employment in
the automotive repair industry and to encourage professional work ethics.

in your program/discipline).
After completion of this program, the student demonstrated the skills
and competencies necessary to pass the National Institute for Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) Certification Exams in the areas of:
- Engine Repair
- Automatic Trans/Transaxle
- Manual Drive Train and Axles
- Suspension and Steering
- Brakes
- Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Heating and Air Conditioning
- Engine Performance
- Outcomes assessed this year.

- Students completing the Automotive Program will be required to
take an end of program exam provided by ASE that covers all of the eight
(8) areas listed above.
- This information will be shared with the Automotive Department's
faculty and Advisory Committee. The department will use this information
to work on and strengthen the instruction in the following areas: Engine
Repair, Automatic Trans. and Trans Axles, Manual Drive Train and Axles.
