Our Beginnings Founded in 1965, Arapahoe Community College (ACC) was the first community college to open in the Denver area. What began as Arapahoe Junior College with 550 students has grown into a bustling community college serving over 20,000 credit and non-credit students annually.
ACC is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Students First! At ACC, student success is at the heart of everything we do. We provide engaging and innovative educational opportunities for learners with a myriad of academic, professional and personal goals. We focus on improving the quality of life and economic health of our students and communities in Douglas, Arapahoe and south Jefferson counties.
We help our students prepare for transfer to four-year universities, for careers and advancement, and to fulfill personal goals. We offer opportunities for lifelong learners including non-credit classes, continuing education for professionals, customized training for corporate clients and specialized programs for seniors.
Convenient Locations ACC has two locations. Our Main campus is in Littleton and our Douglas County campus is just east of I-25 and Lincoln Ave.

Eighty-two percent of our faculty have advanced degrees and 16 percent have doctorates.
