Astronomy

Automotive

Automotive Technology Program

The Automotive Department is in need of qualified instructors.

  • Five (5) years of industry experience and relevant industry certifications are the minimum requirements.

Biology

Part-time instructors needed for teaching a variety of subjects including Human Biology, Science of Biology, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. Instructors with experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology are in particular demand. Responsibilities include: instruction, student assessment, occasional curriculum development, and other related instructional duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university/or equivalent in biology or closely related field
  • Eighteen graduate credit hours in biology or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college/university in biology or closely related field
  • Postsecondary teaching experience
  • Experience with diverse populations
  • Understanding and commitment to the philosophy, role, and mission of a community college.

Computer Science and Information Systems

These part-time instructors are responsible for classroom teaching a variety of subjects including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, A+, Networking, Security, Programming, and Oracle Database Administration curriculum. Responsibilities include: instruction, curriculum development and evaluation, advising students, student follow-up and placement, textbook selection, and other related instructional duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university/or equivalent.
  • Three years of full-time work experience

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications MCSE, CompTIA, A+ where appropriate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field with major emphasis in computers from an accredited college/university.
  • Work experience in a computer information systems related field.
  • Experience with diverse populations.
  • Work experience in a community college setting.
  • Understanding and commitment to the philosophy, role, and mission of a community college.

Meteorology

We are currently seeking an instructor for General Meteorology. A Master’s Degree in Physical Science with graduate work in Meteorology is required. Preference will be given to those with a Master’s or Ph.D. in Meteorology. Contact Henry Weigel 303.797.5831 or henry.weigel@arapahoe.edu

Multi-Media/Graphic Design

ACC is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach in the Multimedia/Graphic Design Department. Responsibilities include: instruction, student assessment, occasional curriculum development, and other related instructional duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to teach Maya 2010 software.
  • Three years of experience in Multi–Media Graphics and Design.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A successful applicant will have at least two years full-time professional experience with Maya or related software within the last five years.
  • Teaching experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Multi-Media Graphics and Design or a related field.

Pharmacy Technician

Arapahoe Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the Institutional Pharmacy course within the ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Program. This is a five week course offered in a hybrid format with theory online and labs on Tuesdays/Thursdays. Licensed Pharmacists and Certified Pharmacy Technicians are encouraged to apply. Certified Pharmacy Technicians must have 2-5 years current work experience in a hospital pharmacy and be a graduate of a pharmacy technician program.   • Lecture/Lab: $943.09 per credit hour
